Facebook Parent group.

An XP. parent Miss Welch has kindly set up a Facebook parent group.
The group is designed so parents can post things and offer any support or advice. It is a place to ask questions and where everyone can share information.

It is an informal group which at the moment is just being set up The idea is that parents of current students can get to know each other more, as the students are coming from all over the area and are either getting the bus or dropped off, parents don’t stand in the playground chatting like we would with the younger kids. It’s an opportunity to share thoughts, ideas, arrange car shares, etc. Obviously, there will still be lots of questions regarding school which Will always need to be directed to the school website or FB page.
Mrs Welch said “I know for me personally there was no one else from Chloe’s school going and I didn’t know any parents, already i have met several through the XP website and Facebook page, which always allays our fears, though I didn’t have any concern about Chloe settling in, she’s got so much self confidence. I’m hoping that the more included parents feel, the more reassured they will be. I can safely say though that I have never known a school to be so inclusive to parents/carers giving us so much info. During wales we felt we shared the experience with our kids through the website and it was so refreshing to have that feedback and support.”
