Every Monday morning we do crew check in and talk about our weekend. Afterwards we do academic crew. This morning we have had Millie, Aaleyah and Beth studying mathematics, looking at ‘range, medium and mode’. Alfie and Jacob doing ‘frog, play, net’, which is another tool to help them progress in mathematics. James and Jessica worked on timetable rockstars. Luke and Frankie was helping Joseph plan his crew activity for Wednesday. Great work this morning Stan Lee!
What a great crew session led by Frankie, still continuing with our crew goals:
- To be able to work as a team.
- To be able to listen and communicate clearly and respectfully to one another.
Frankie circled Stan Lee up and explained the rules of the game and did so with passion and leadership. Well done Frankie and Crew Stan Lee for a great morning and start of the school day!
Each week in Stan Lee we have a crew member take over crew and lead an activity based around communication and team building. This is the area that we felt as a crew we needed to further develop.
Today it was Millie who led the session and she was awesome! We had a great morning problem solving, listening to one another and most importantly working together as crew. Looking forward to next week!
Why the human knot? The human knot game is used as a team building activity. Our focus was to work together as a crew and be able to communicate to one another in close proximity.
